Sleep Studies - SimplifiedProviding your patients the option of having their Sleep Study performed at home with the Watch-PAT system does far more than provide a convenient, realistic and affordable alternative; it maintains your relationship with that patient through the numerous stages of their Sleep treatment, providing numerous service opportunities and improved outcomes.
While some insurers, including CMS, specify that the Sleep Study results be interpreted by a Board Certified Sleep Physician, the majority do not currently restrict the option for non-Sleep boarded physicians to provide and bill for Interpretations. The CPT code for Unattended Sleep Studies with the Watch-PAT Device (95800) is well established and recognized by the vast majority of medical policy guidelines and provides you with an opportunity to provide billable services for the Professional Component (-26). The option also exists to incorporate your practice's billing department to bill for the global service, and contracting with 1st Line Medical as your dedicated Outsourced Service Provider at a very attractive flat rate for the Technical Service component. By performing the billing, you net the incremental revenue between the reimbursed rate and the contracted rate, and perhaps more compellingly, enable your patients to enjoy their local plan's in-network benefits which can often be more attractive than the out-of-network arrangements we utilize with most carriers.

Complimentary Support Materials. We will provide your practice with several support tools to support your consideration of our services including Patient Education Brochures that are personalized for your office, Certificate of Medical Necessity/Rx forms to simplify completion and BMI/Epworth Sleep Score Reference Cards for your examination rooms. Many insurers specify criteria to establish a High probability of OSA to include an elevated BMI (>30) and high ESS (>10), thus we provide the reference cards with erasable markers that permit the patient to self-assess these metrics prior to your consultation.
